Shannon Says: “ISI has a great program that is competitive as well as affordable. This has been a big factor for my family in choosing which competitions I attended, since my other three siblings have also been involved in ISI competitions and Learn to Skate. The best part of ISI, is attending the national competitions. I have participated in over 50 ISI competitions, half being national competitions. Meeting so many people from around the nation and other countries has peaked my interest in travel. I am currently learning Japanese on my own and hope to be able to participate in a student exchange program there, near an ice rink of course.”

Emily Says: “The Ice Sports Industry (ISI) has gone above and beyond in their efforts toward inclusion, support and opportunity for their skaters, including me. Confidence projected to a Model United Nations committee of 90-plus delegates, fluidity in adjusting to new schools, camaraderie easily formed with any new face — all would cease to exist in my life without the ISI program. Eight years of competition has broken me down yet built me back up, complete with the constant encouraging smiles greeting my family and me when we enter each foreign rink for competition. I’ve learned grace. I’ve realized humility. I’ve found strength. In everything I do, I carry the failsafe work ethic and creativity I’ve acquired throughout the years with me.”
