Hawaii’s only synchronized skating team, Tropical Blades, heads to ISI World Recreational Team Championships, taking place July 25-28 at Sharks Ice San Jose in San Jose, Calif.
Ice Palace Hawaii, the team’s home rink, was closed for quite some time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the team had to result to practicing on artificial ice outdoors. Team members feel that it will give them a competitive advantage in their first competition since pre-COVID, according to Hawaii News Now.
