ISI Worlds Was Epic in San Jose!
Both seasoned and beginning skaters travel from coast to coast and beyond to experience the thrill of competing at ISI World Recreational Team Championships, otherwise known as ISI Worlds, and this year was no exception! A total of 767 competitors of all skill levels from 42 rink teams from 15 states* and two countries (China and Indonesia), with ages ranging from 3 to 84, descended upon Sharks Ice San Jose in San Jose, Calif., July 25-28, to showcase their skills and soak in all the fun and magic that make Worlds our most EPIC event.
El Paso Figure Skating Club claimed the Michael Booker Trophy, as Overall Team Champion of the event.
In addition to four full days of competition, participants enjoyed the ISI Worlds Competitors’ Party held July 26 at San Jose’s Excite Ballpark (Twizzle threw out the first pitch!); the July 27 ISI Benefit Show, starring U.S. silver medalist Josephine Lee as well as star skaters selected to perform; pin trading with friends; and exploring the walkable downtown of San Jose and the surrounding area.

U.S. silver medalist Josephine Lee, who got her start in the ISI Ice Skating program, put on a dazzling ISI Benefit Show performance.
