SafeSport Resources for Parents
Authorized by Congress to help abuse prevention, education and accountability take root in every sport, the U.S. Center for SafeSport was created in 2017. A 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, the U.S. Center for SafeSport believes that every athlete deserves to participate in sports free from any form of emotional, physical and sexual misconduct.
The organization offers free online trainings for minor athletes and their parents or other caregivers. The courses are designed to help participants better understand the importance of welcoming environments in sports, where misconduct like bullying or abuse is less likely to happen, and to know when to report abuse, should it occur.
